Bragging Rights: Breakfast in M’sia is KING

Been to a lot of places which claim they’re king of breakfast.  It’s all too hard to digest once you’ve been had their breakfast but I think Malaysia still has the bragging rights when it comes to a delicious breakfast.  Malaysia has the multiracial impact on food in which other places don’t.  While yes, there are population of Indians in China/H.K or Asians  in Aus.  They’re so poorly balanced you can tell that  the food’s not as good.

One of the breakfast places my parents love to go is Sun Yin Loong.  I however prefer Malay food for breakfast though! Had nasi lemak like 7 times during my stay in Msia omg!!

Prawn noodles @ 1 AUD anyone?

IMG_4956
Fried Kuey Teow/Hor Fun  in the morning is definitely KICK to taste and SHIT to health ahah.  But its not like bacon and sausages are any healthier :P!  The one MAIN difference which matters most between fried kuey teow in Aus and Malaysia is the texture of the noodles.

Pan Mee or more like flat noodles! My sister’s fav!

My oldie dad loves his congee!

Drinks for all! Everything in Malaysia is cheap but I gotta feelin that’s not gonna last for long seeing how inflation is pushing prices up so quickly.

That’s a sample of what you’d get in Malaysia ahah. I believe all my friends know it by now!

Celebrations: Dad’s 58th @ Pantai Seafood!

Work @ Worley has been good so far.  Even without getting paid and having to put up with the nasty bitch of a weather. Learned a lot about the Aus standards even though I had only been there for a mere 12 days! Still a lot to familiarise myself with.  Later on the 16th I stopped and took off from work to come home.  That night I stopped we cooked dinner @ our place and friends over!  Then Polly and I watched Inglorious Bastards! And before we knew it, the taxi came in the wee hours of the morning to get us to the airport! She certainly did freak us out! Like totally @@! She was old and wore a dress plus she had awesomely long fingers! Very seductive for a tall men perhaps.  But for me she was scarrrrrrrrrryyyyy!  Pauline kinda freaked out too ahha.  In fact we though she was a transgender :S!

The flight was on AirAsia and it was ok, except for the shit food @@! I mean really shit ahah.  They had tricolour poison with grilled chicken which was blehhhhh!!  Anyways could not be too bothered by onboard food.  Because when I get off the plane Ho!Ho!Ho!! Feels like Christmas is here early ahah.  My dad’s bday was on the 17th of Dec.  We held a small family dinner @ Pantai Seafood not too far from my place! So happy to be living in a foodie district!

The yummy noodles! I think it was some long life noodle thingy?  Cannot really remember!

IMG_4927
A vege that is never nice in Aus.  The Sei Tai Tin Wong.  A mixture of Brinjal, Ocra, long beans and four angle beans fried in a prawn-chilli paste :D!!

IMG_4928
Mantis Prawn with Salted Egg coating.  Very frequently eating with “unshelled” prawns but that is never better than mantis prawns which is almost never served with shell. ahah

IMG_4929
Som random bean curd dish! I’m not a fan of bean curd so this was OK only.

IMG_4932
This was the first crab dish which was fried Kam Heong style with vermicelli! One of the best crabs around!  We had another steamed one which was a total FAIL! But nonetheless I’ve been forced to reluctantly fork out 70AUD for crabs in Perth for the few years I’ve been living there.  So I’m so much more thankful for the crabs in Malaysia ahah.

IMG_4935After devouring all the diving food we held on awhile more while free desserts pour in.  My aunty and uncle seems to know all the makan places proprietors so it’s always cool to eat wherever they suggest.  You save instantly on karaoke rooms and desserts ahaha.  Private dining rooms come easy too!!  Definite enjoy my dinner on the first night! Been coming to Pantai Seafood for the past few years after boycotting certain seafood places! This place definitely serves a kick @ a cheap price!  More importantly my dad enjoyed to food too! It was his birthday after all! How can the birthday boy not enjoy his meal? ahaha! Sadly there was no present for him this time :(!  But it’s ok his kids are back so that’s still a present right? hohoho

Oh and on the top is my cute cousin with his cool “Dragon Ball” hair. Haha he’s got a lot of girls chasing after him supposedly @@!

More updates soon!

Priceless Ageing: Dusit Thai @ James St. , Northbridge

WenY is  officially 21 years old hoho! Been through a long year with a lot of experience and shit.  But thanks to the great friends that are always sticking together, things always seemed to be a tad easier than it was meant to be.  Tonight was one to celebrate with the friends that I always have with me.  We dined @ Dusit Thai along James st. in Northbridge.  Thai food was good.  Had a 9 course meal lol. Wicked sick ey?  Quite  a lot of pigging was involved! Ready up :D!

No rushing to the mains ahah.  Appetizers come first right?

The  KRA TONG THONG.  God knows what that means but I’ll make it easier for you people.

“Stir-fried diced Prawns, Minced Chicken and Sweet corn on Deep-fried Tartlets”.  Yummy meat combination served in a crispy shell! Yummy!

IMG_4906

YUM NUEA; Grilled Beef Salad mixed together with Onion, Chilli, Lemon Juice, Coriander, Tomato, Fish Sauce and Cucumber. This was delicious! Even in Bangkok the grilled pork salad was oh my gawddddddddd! So awesome! Yums! + the serve is usually large and filled with meat.

IMG_4909

TORD MAN PLA; Deep Fried Minced Fish Blend with Red Chilli Paste, Herbs and Eggs served with Spicy Sauce.  An all time Thai favourite! Mmmmm still remember the time I had it with Justin and Yobi @ JJ market. 5 ringgit for one pile of it.  Lovely stuff.

IMG_4908

CURRY PUFFS ;  Chicken curry puffs served with cucumber relish.  Only one thing to say. L.O.L. This one okla. Looks like and taste like it came from some frozen oriental shop.  Nothing to shout about as I’m from where this things are made to perfection.

After the appetizers I think most of us were pretty filled up already.  But the banquet did not just finish there!! Had soooomoooooree foooooooooooooooood.  The mains are pretty good as well;

IMG_4913

PARD PARK ROM-MIT; Stir-fried mixed green Vegetables! Rooooooooooommmmmmmmmit! It was normal vegetable probably fried with some fish sauce?  Was tasty eheh.

IMG_4914

GA TIAM PHIK-THAI TALAY; Stir-Fried mixed seafood with Garlic and Pepper.  My sister did not quite like this dish ahah.  But I thought it was pretty ok. hehe Very simple but it is a stir-fry after all!

IMG_4917

PLA SAM-ROD; Deep-fried FISH FILLETS topped with Sweet & Sour Chilli Sauce.  This fish was very delish indeed.  Or maybe because it tastes like my dad fried fish cutlets with fermented bean paste sauce haha

IMG_4915

This was the green curry which like all other green curries I’ve had was yummy with lots of coconut milk fragrant!

By the end of the meal we were BLOATED to the max! Had a yummy cake that my sister bought from Baskin Robbins! Nice cake it was very creamyyyyyyy @.@  Dusit Thai was a good experience yums! The banquet was definitely filling! Unlike most restaurant, this one boast a golden plate award of some sort on every single pillar supporting the structure.  Beat that bitches! ahahah.  The service was bombastic.  Plates changed after appetizer and constant pouring of water or rice.  No need to even ask for a refill of rice.  They just do it automatically!  That’s what I call service!

Thanks everyone for the presents and wootz sister.  Splurging so much! Thanks to you too haaha. Loved the wallets and bags everyone!!  ;-)
